I wasn't quite old enough to vote back then, but my dad said Reagan would win by a landslide. I'd love to see what the pollsters were saying back then. I'm sure they had Mondale ahead by double digits. If my dad was alive today, there's no doubt he'd be on the Trump Train. Trump is my Reagan.

can somebody find a 1984 poll for me?

this article is a bit dense, but according to this article most people did predict a Reagan win. that being said we know today that Media == DNC, and that current polls are hilariously inflated for the democrats.
