There is a single shot, he's still running. He goes down after 4 shots in succession. Then you hear 3 more when Kyle is around the car. Then Kyle comes out the other side.
I'm not forensic but it sounds to me like the first and the last 3 are the same gun while the 4 in the middle are from Kyle. We can't see Kyle from this angle so we don't know without collected evidence if of course it wasn't tampered with by the rioters like they did in portland.
When you are in a life or death situation you act to stay alive. You dont think through every detail. I saw and heard a shot and then Kyle turned and shot 4 times I thought while moving. No way he'd know if someone else shot redshirt man, and no way for Kyle to know if just one shot from him would stop the aggressor.
But back to Kyle's restraint. After he fell to the ground and shot the guy with skateboard in the chest. Kyle aimed at the guy with pistol and did not fire. Only when pistol guy charged again did Kyle fire and hit the arm. That showed restraint in front of a hostile with a drawn weapon.
Good points you all made. I. Going to review footage again.
So Kyle should have instantly known exactly what he hit with his shot with a guy up in his face grabbing his weapon.
This isn't Call of Duty.
You dont shoot to maim or disable. You shoot to kill when your life is in danger.
You honestly believe he aimed for his thigh, hand, and groin?
