Accidentally muted our VP during a TEAMS call (with over 146 participants) when he was discussing racism and the Blake incident. I was trying to mute just on my end, so I didnโ€™t have to listen to the corporate crap, but apparently I muted him from speaking, and then no one could hear him. No one knew what happened and figured it was a problem on his end. ๐Ÿ™Š OOPS!!

I think Freudian Slip is the term you are looking for.

It was a Freudian Mouse Slip.

Why was he even discussing that? What does that have to do with work?

Our CEO sent out an email this morning and part of it said this. โ€œRegrettably, the senseless and disturbing shooting of Jacob Blake by a police officer in Kenosha, and the additional shooting of protestors, demonstrates that as a society we have much more work to do.โ€

Needless to say, I was livid! And then our VP brings it up in our meeting.๐Ÿ˜ก

Wtf. They are defending terrorists. I'd resign.

Regrettably I can no longer work for a company that is lead by Asshats and Terrorist Sympathizers.

Iโ€™ll tell you, itโ€™s getting harder and harder to bite my tongue.

I'm not kidding when I say I would resign. I do not and will not tolerate political nonsense at work. If that means I'm unemployed, so be it. May have even responded company wide to the CEOs email.

It is clear we have work to do as a society. We have armies of terrorists Burning, Looting and Murdering in our Commie Run cities while overpaid CEOs sympathize with their terrorist activities and provide them financial support. These same terrorist Sympathizers believe themselves to be judge and jury of our fellow citizens that were forced to defend themselves from the terror that has been unleashed.

I pulled out of a contract with a supplier because they sent me, a fucking customer, a memo about BLM and how they plan to be less racist in their hiring practices and told me how I can be less racist.

Easiest decision I've ever made.

Oh man, I hope you sent an explanation. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were racists; I'll be looking for supplies from non-racists. You should consider closing your businesses."

Did exactly that, whenever I see a friend posting about BLM or white privilege and all that shit I'll tell them how disappointed I am to find out that they're racist, drop a bunch of red pills on them using the least amount of "right wing" sources and then block them or ignore their responses to really trigger them.

I used to let them respond but I found that the back and forth was never productive in most cases and they'd just try to expose me to their friends for sharing racist facts, didn't see the same response of them posting screenshots of our chat publicly when I removed their ability to respond.

I try to only say nothing or nice things when a call is up....just in case mute is not on, lol.

I did catch some mention of fragility, and thatโ€™s when I hit mute! I need to practice my mute skills more to catch that โ€œvโ€๐Ÿ˜‚

Good thing my company doesnโ€™t give a fuck about this woke shit, and we donโ€™t hire anyone โ€œwokeโ€ because we deal with clients not only all across the country but across the world.

You wouldnโ€™t want a โ€œwokeโ€ person flying out to a meeting at a factory in rural Texas.

Unfortunately, I work for a company in an urban Texas city.

From the little bit I used teams, it seemed that the developers didn't think the muting bit through very well. Why would you not be able to mute someone on your end and mute them for everyone. If you're the host, sure, random participant? Wtf?

This was my thought exactly! Learned something new, but donโ€™t plan on sharing with coworkers.๐Ÿ˜‰
