It's all very, very simple: money. They get paid per test, per hospital admittance, per ventiator needed. Big money. Hospitals bleeding right now because of tyrannical shut downs are in a moral quandary to write that a car crash patient has covid because that means they can pay doctors and nurses to stay on. It's a clusterfuck.
That's been done, things have been said. It hasn't done shit. People are wearing masks while driving when the CDC itself said masks were useless 3 months ago. If you're a hospital admin, there is no crusade you could go on that would turn the tables. So they scribble down "covid" to save their hospital and employees, who are needed to treat patients (and are now out of work...). That's not a justification, it's just reality.
