Can someone tell me how in the FUCK this narrative was allowed to continue after we learned that this Jacob Blake fuckhead was reaching for a god damn knife after brawling with the police? And further, that he was wanted for sexual assault and was in the middle of another violent crime against a woman? This isn't even a Fentanyl Floyd situation where maybe people can misunderstand what was happening.

THE COP SHOT AN ARMED PERPETRATOR AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION PEACEFULLY

This kind of blatant manipulation of the facts is going to drive me to live off the grid, I swear to God.

I’d also ask why your CEO feels that there’s a valid business reason to send virtue signaling emails to the whole company. I hate this corporate leftist crap.

The less cynical part of me just wants to think that she has just fallen for the media narrative like so many others. The cynical part of me believes that the email was sent so that the 2% of TDS psychopaths at the company don't take a day off to protest.

Don't. It's much better to just lay low do your job better than everyone else and then when the "lol orange man bad, right?" convo comes up at a happy hour just calmly point out that you don't agree. The best red pill at my company (where the DNC is a major client) was when me, one of only two POCs in the company, defended Trump on some random "lol orange man bad, right?" jab by a coworker.

Use a vpn, set up a prontomail email address, and send back an anonymous response letting her know that the narrative she is repeating is completely BS. Hell, send the response out to the whole company so they know that there are more than just sjw useful idiots at that company.

Edit: if you do this, don’t forget to also include your own work email address in the list of people you email the anonymous response out to

I am 100% moving to a red state as soon as I can. I just want to escape this shit as much as possible, but the Left doesn't seem to have any problem with injecting politics into every aspect of life.

Maybe Mars will have to be the true next "red" state for my kids.

Heres how it happens. Most medium to large companies, particularly those run by pussies, are in a near constant fear of being sued, especially by disgruntled employees that keep the receipts.

Companies are advised, or in attempts to be proactive, create trainings, messaging, donations et cetera that their advisors or lawyers feel will provide evidence of due dilligence should a suit be brought.

For example, a company may do mandatory sexual harassment training so if an employee is sexual harassed they can say "no no look we did everything to create a safe work environment."

They constantly are having to up the anti for themselves as maybe they hear someone else lost a suit but did do sexual harassment training so they make fridays sexual harassmemt awareness day plus the training.

These owners convince themselves that its for the greater good or "it is what it is" because it doesnt effect them personally and they think it protects their pocketbook.

Why couldnt a company just say All Lives Matter and cover all their bases? Well the media poisons the well and convinces people that it would actually raise the risk of them being sued, and most assuredly someone runs a risk assessment for them amd determines which demographics are most and least likely to sue over particular issues.

6
MuadDon 6 points ago +7 / -1

or "it is what it is"

Welcome to what just happened with the sports league, notably the NHL. Literally got pressured by twitter wokedom to comply; "It is what it is. Just get it done so there isn't a firestorm and let's move on. Works out the guys get two rest days."

4
brisketbark 4 points ago +4 / -0

This sounds about right. These corporations will need to start fearing being sued from the other side before they change. Could they be sued for promoting a false narrative in the workplace that makes employees feel unsafe? I'm being half serious. This constant amplification of the media narrative is what makes people anxious and crazy.

Here is the text of the vomit-inducing email:

Devastating, gut-wrenching, there truly are no more words for these horrific events: social injustice, Jacob Blake and structural racism that continue to occur. We don’t profess to have the answers, but what we do have is the strength we can draw from each other. We also are intertwined with the work of our [redacted] partners to ensure that collectively we continue to foster an environment where everyone is heard and included. Our collective compassion, understanding and support unites us as an agency and forms the core of who each of us are —we will always be here for each other. Please, please do not hesitate to reach out to anybody, whether it’s me, your supervisor or your colleagues if you want to talk. We know this continuous barrage is physically, mentally and emotionally incredibly draining. This is the time to look out for each other and to check in on each other. We’ve never needed each other more.

In sadness and continued disbelief.

How typically leftist.

"Here is my extreme opinion, and I won't listen to any other opinions, because they're obviously invalid."

Most of them do it.

Leftist: Here's my opening monologue

You: Listen, try not to smirk too much

You: Start to respond...

Leftist: I CAN'T DO THIS, IT GETS ME TOO UPSET, GOODBYE

You: But I listened to you.....

Also that first sentence is an unreadable mockery of the English language.

It's everywhere. My company is infected as well - forced 2 hour training and I thought that was it. I was wrong. Just got an email that there are two more mandatory training to come and we must be on video so that we aren't doing other things (playing on phones, eye rolling).

The net effect is a totally pissed off workforce.

Like Russians under the USSR, we repeat meaningless phrases we know are wrong. We seek each other out, tentatively initiating conversations to find other pedes. So, far, it seems as if the majority of us are Trump loving patriots who are sick of this shit, but need the job.

8
textusliberti 8 points ago +8 / -0

Dear Colleagues,

We write to you today as >>INSERT ORG-NAME HERE<< leaders to express, first, deep sadness, but also anger, regarding the racist incidents that continue to cut short the lives of Black people every day. Over the weekend, we witnessed another episode of police violence against a Black American. Jacob Blake was shot in the back multiple times, in broad daylight, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. We all hope for a quick recovery for Mr. Blake and that he and his family may heal and find peace after this horrific event.

The sadness comes from knowing that this is not a mere moment for our country. This is historical, lasting and persistent. Structures of power, deep-rooted histories of oppression, as well as prejudice, outright bigotry and hate, directly and personally affect the lives of millions of people in this nation every minute and every hour. Black people continue to live in fear for themselves, their children and their communities, at times in fear of the very systems and structures that are supposed to be in place to ensure safety and justice.

These deaths, along with the others that preceded it over the last several years and throughout U.S. history, launched national conversations about anti-Black racism. And we know that so many in our community keep asking how many times these conversations have to happen before there is real change. We know there are so many in our community who are hurting and deeply frustrated. These things are made worse by a pandemic that doesn’t allow us to be together and is disproportionately killing Black people. We have not been able to gather in some of the ways that usually unite us to build collective understanding, mourn and make calls for action.

We recognize that tragic and traumatic examples of injustice against racial, ethnic and religious minorities persist around the country and around the world, resulting in horrific instances of brutality, incarceration and death. We hope that wherever you may be, you seek to effect change in your communities in the ways that make sense for you while preserving your health and safety in this time of COVID-19. Our local and national government leaders need to hear from us as individual constituents in their communities consistently and persistently on issues of racial and ethnic injustice.

As a world class health care institution, we have tremendous resources in our departments, centers and institutes that can help our community and our society interrogate the persistent and deeply disturbing issues related to race, racism and police violence in America. In the weeks and months to come, we will leverage our expertise to develop programming and research opportunities designed to advance knowledge and promote essential change in policy and practice in the name of equity and justice.

We are a community that does not condone acts of racism, discrimination or violence. This cannot be accepted as “normal.” We must continue to demand equity and justice for all people, inclusive of all identities. And, we must continue to care for and support each other, especially in this time when we are apart.

Sincerely,

The>>INSERT ORG-NAME HERE<< Equity Team

I said if they approved I would love to reply to his message with fact checking and provide fully qualified links to video and sources. Haven't seen any reply from HR or any additional comments from the CEO. Fully expect to be fired any day now. Looking forward to law suite if they do.

My company is infected as well. I'm really dreading the recommendations coming... Partial e-mail below...

*As I mentioned in my last update, we are forming a Diversity & Inclusion Council.

<List of 10 names>

I want to thank this group of dedicated individuals for volunteering to help us tackle this difficult subject. They will meet at least quarterly and make recommendations to the executive management team. Their first step is to define a charter. I am their executive sponsor. While I will not attend their meetings, you should all know they have my full support, and their recommendations will carry great weight with me. Also, if you are not on this council but you have ideas or concerns you want heard, we ask you to reach out directly to council members to share them and they will take it up.*

I think the Blake shooting is a perfect example of bad policing. Why not take him down earlier instead of letting him walk all over the place and over to his car? I guess hindsight is 20/20, but it really seems like poorly trained police allow situations like this to escalate even though they have all the physical power in the world to control the situation.

That being said, I'm not shedding any tears for a man like Blake being paralyzed so he can no longer rape and assault people (I'm sure he'll find a way though). And it's ridiculous how antifa and BLM are allowed to loot and riot every time something controversial like this happens.

I'm not a huge fan of cops after they started civil asset forfeiture and enforcing red flag laws, so maybe I'm biased.
