If the NBA fired every player on every team, I wonder how long it would take them to refill the rosters with people who as part of their contract couldn't speak publicly on any political subject, but would be paid the same as the current players. a week? How much would the quality of play drop. Would it even be noticeable.
Honestly the quality of the real product (entertainment) would improve with player who weren't as good at shooting.
And given how popular and entertaining college basketballs is, and then realize most college players don't go pro, there's several NBAs worth of kneelers you could fire before you ran out of enough players to field a league.
