Blaming Trump for the riots is the only play they have left. The real, internal polling is showing that the riots are destroying the Dems. The riots are out of their control now so they can't just order everybody to stop and claim mission accomplished. They can't call for the feds to stop the rioting because that would prove Trump is right. The only option left to them is to try and pin the chaos on Trump. Good luck selling that one.
The most effective tactic against this narrative might not be to argue against it with facts and logic, but just straight mockery and dismissal. A well-said “Give it a rest already” could do more to shut it down than all the other arguments combined. This is also what the Democrats are most scared of. Straight dismissal. There is a video of Nadler holding a press conference after the Mueller Report showed No Collusion and he is still trying to push the narrative. Bystanders walking by on the streets of New York just start cat-calling him as a fraud and a liar. This is just after the Russian Collusion narrative collapsed after pushing it 24/7 for two years (people forget they did this), and everyone was PISSED. We’ve all pretty much been brainwashed and distracted into letting this slide, since we immediately had to go on the defensive again against Ukraine Collusion and the Shampeachment, and immediately after we defeated them on that battlefield, we had to defend against the Plandemic, but for a brief window there Nadler felt the hostility and rejection of the people and he was visibly dismayed and flustered. He could feel that no words and no spin would save him because his words and his spin WERE the problem - WERE what we were rejecting.
I read this as he's trying to deflect as to who is actually causing the looting and destruction and wants to try and blame it on POTUS supporters?
