I am more than a bit curious about the internal reaction to a secession threat by the West Coast.
Logically, for a secession to work a majority of the population has to more-or-less agree to it, or be in a position where they can't react or otherwise stand up to the powers declaring their independence.
But outside of the Leftist hubs -- and even a not insignificant silent population within said hubs -- there are plenty of moderate to demonstrably right wing people who would rage at the concept of being dragged into a new Commie country by a bunch of wanna be dictators.
I dunno, I just feel that the Lefts post-election war game didn't take that into account.
