Dinesh D'Souza pointed out that the left always wants someone else to sacrifice. Someone else works while they get a free ride. Someone else gives up a seat in college. Someone else gives up comfort for the environment.

It's never "I'm doing this and you can come with me". It's always "you need to do this".

This is the essence of the left and liberals/progressives. They don't do anything. They always want someone else to do it. They can destroy, but never create. It's why their ideas don't work. It's always someone else that needs to do the work.
