There is a video of Gauge (hereafter referred to as "lefty") holding his hands up with a gun in his right hand when Kyle sees him, Kyle lets his guard down(lowering gun) and immediately lefty charges Kyle and gets shot in the right arm as he swings the gun towards Kyle. On top of that, lefty's buddy was posting that lefty regrets not getting the chance to "kill that kid."
