We have a mask mandate in my city, so most people wear one like good little sheep, but I was surprised today when I walked into lowes and saw at least four other people without masks, including three women. I approached the register (in the garden center) where an old lady was there with her mask on. She pulled hers down when she noticed that I didn’t have one on. Of course, she has to wear it for work, but I could tell she was happy to see me as it gave her a minute off freedom until the next customer. The more of us who go maskless, the more people will feel empowered to take theirs off as well.
I arrived in line to pick up my daughter's bus pass. Everyone ahead of me wore a mask. I didn't put one on and everyone who lined up behind me kept theirs off. Be the change you to see in the world.
I don't get the mask craze. I just don't get it. I see tin foil hats every time I see people wearing them.
It's become a mixture of irrational fear, and the want to control other people.

My state has a mandate. I haven't put one on yet.
