The rights of everyone always come with responsibilities. Not that you would personally like the right if you don't perform your responsibilities, but that everyone may lose their rights of we don't all do our part.

Just because you have a gun doesn't mean you shoot it recklessly. Just because you have alcohol doesn't mean that you get drunk constantly. Just because you get prescribed a bottle of codeine doesn't mean you're going to go on a 1 day codeine bender.

The only drug that will kill you when you first try it is fentanyl. And unfortunately, the problem with the black market is that you don't have good product consistency nor brand reputation. So the dangers inherent in many drugs would be substantially decreased by standard economic forces.

Plato describes the democratic man as striking a balance between productivity and pleasure, but ultimately sees the benefit of their community as the ultimate good. The oligarchic man goes full productivity for personal gain, and the tyrannical (communist) man goes full pleasure for personal hedonism.
