Legalizing weed turned denver into a kinda crapy place to live. Not sure I would like that much.

I do not disagree at all. However, I see what happens to places that legalize it and it is not great.

The problem is once legalized some people go on and ruin their lives anyway. That is human nature. It however seems to amplify that in many people for some reason. Just 10 years ago there were no tent cities in CO. Yet now there is.

We need to be ready for legalization. I am not sure we are there yet. We need to figure this out or we will create a class of people who are baked and do not care. They will lack the tools to cope in life. To build their lives. I have seen this with my friends and family.

Also be fair alcohol and weed are not in the same class. I am with Bill Burr on this point. You smoke one and you are looking to get screwed up. I do that with alcohol and you would think I have a problem. We need to be honest what this drug does and how it is treated. It is 'harmless' but it has the power to destroy lives through apathy. It is a low level hallucanagin. It is something to be treated with care. Yet a careless 'its no worse than alcohol' is a bit disingenuous.

I do not disagree at all that it should be legalized. I just want it to not end up in tent city.
