I believe Trump can only pardon for federal crimes.

I'm still a little shocked and disappointed there are so many here who don't know that. That's like basic high school Civics 101 shit. I know public schooling has deliberately held actual civics knowledge from many of us but c'mon, the information is out there. You owe it to yourself to learn this sort of thing.

This is true.

There’s also the false info front to fight (say that three times fast). In this case, the lie that Kyle crossed state lines with a gun.

3
JesusMaga 3 points ago +3 / -0

Or that he needs a pardon at all

5
SpezisaRetard 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yep.

Besides the fact Trump doesn't have the authority to pardon state charges. This needs to play out. Kyle being acquitted helps everyone defending themselves. A pardon would only help Kyle.

yeah but that lazy, mindless karma from just grovellingly pointing towards the upvote button...

No problem...if it comes down to it, when Trump's term has ended in D.C., he can move to Wisconsin, run for governor, and pardon away.

PeytonManThing 19 points ago +19 / -0

He can’t. People should stop posting about pardons and start posting about dropping charges. These charges are purely political

G_regulator 1 point ago +2 / -1

The news cycle moves quickly. In a week or two something else will happen and the news will forget about Kyle. I hope the DA drops it at that point, it's not only a DA's job to prosecute people, but also to decide which cases are NOT worth prosecuting.

It's a bit of wishful thinking and a bit of intuition but I just don't see this making it to trial.

Fuck that. first off these are State crimes are not federal, and 2nd off, to accept a pardon you have to admit guilt.... which means he would have to admit to being a murderer on paper.......

Calm down people. This will be a long process.

It will go to trial. I do not think a jury of 12 will convict him. The trial process will take time and will happen long after the November election.

If he does get convicted and Trump wins, then he may be pardoned down the road.

I feel bad for the kid. But the DA is as politician and is thinking if I do not put him on trial it will be a red flag for more riots & burning.

G_regulator 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think you not accounting for the speed of the news cycle. Once this is out of the news cycle hopefully the DA can just drop it without announcement. The DA isin't stupid, he knows there's no case here and DA's don't like to loose, so they generally don't perseu poisoned cases.

I also agree with the fact Kyle had to be charged, mostly to placate the mob.

Another thing we agree on is that a jury of 12 will never find Kyle guilty, the evidence was so damming the narrative against him turned in like 4hrs. I've never seen the public flip around so quick.

While I appreciate the patriotism on here, I really am saddened by the lack of civics taught in our schools now.

The President can only pardon federal crimes.

Let him beat it in court.

BusinessAsUsual 4 points ago +4 / -0

Trump can’t. I upvoted. But he can’t.

4
Groupthinkgroupthink 4 points ago +4 / -0

No, we do not want a pardon for Kyle (not sure trump could even?)

We want a not guilty verdict as a precedent that the left cannot criminalize the use of a fire arm, or the action of self-defense, since they failed in criminalizing the fire arm itself.

That or acquittal, I'm not a Attorney so I've no ideal which is more legally powerful, but we want the legally powerful outcome.

FaustyArchaeus 4 points ago +4 / -0

Nope let it play out and lets make Kyle rich like Sandman

Colion Noir's breakdown from a legal PoV (he's a lawyer for those who aren't aware) based on currently available video is pretty good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSU9ZvnudFE

Great video, as usual

3
furyanwolf 3 points ago +3 / -0

How do you "pardon" a non-crime?

2
VoterIDMatters 2 points ago +2 / -0

No way

Let him sue

2
doublethink 2 points ago +2 / -0

you can only pardon people who are guilty

2
Rpxtoreador 2 points ago +2 / -0

He's gotta be guilty of something. Let's hopes he gets vindicated

2
SharkTeamTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

He won't need a pardon.

Charges are going to be dropped, and he's going to sue a bunch of people for defamation.

2
kidfromtheplayground 2 points ago +2 / -0

He does niot need a pardon, he did nothing wrong.

No need. No chance of being convicted

2
DudeNoOne 2 points ago +2 / -0

Pardon for what. Kyle did nothing wrong

2
Brethern123 2 points ago +2 / -0

that requires conviction t wont happen

1
madamaw 1 point ago +1 / -0

After the election.

1
HenkZeilstra 1 point ago +1 / -0

If justice prevails he wont need any

1
G_regulator 1 point ago +1 / -0

He won't need to hopefully. Once Elite Kyle leaves the news cycle the charges will probably be dropped without announcement. There's just no case and any prosecutor who thinks there is one is incompetent. I understand them charging him, it's the politically savvy thing to do, but I don't see this making it to trial.

1
BoughtByBloomberg2 1 point ago +1 / -0

State prosecution. Whilst I upvote for the sentiment the president has no authority over this kid's unjust prosecution.

Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don't know about you guys but I want to get a t shirt that color and wear it on Election Day.

1
TheTPL 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unless it's one of those weird jurisdictions where you don't need a unanimous verdict, then only one juror among a dozen needs to believe in his innocence.

1
DILDO 1 point ago +1 / -0

There are no crimes to pardon.

1
Auroraalpha 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don't, otherwise the next person defending themselves will get screwed, since it implicitly implies Kyle's guilty. We have done NOTHING WRONG.

Trump shouldn't have to, the clarity of the evidence of this being self defense is overwhelming.

Pumpingiron_Patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

NO Pardon. He shouldn't be charged period.

We need to make sure the justice system isn't so fucked up, that Kyle needs to be Pardoned by the Potus.

1
Dirkstruan313 1 point ago +1 / -0

Let the law play its course. Knee jerk screams for justice is something retarded leftists do. What do we know about the DA prosecuting the case? Are they a Soros muppet?

*edit

Michael D. Graveley is the DA but I don't know how to look up his campaign finances. That's a matter of public record, right?

Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

No can do but I wouldn't want a pardon anyway. I want to see charges thrown out or failing that, seeing Kyle acquitted.

1
me-no-likely 1 point ago +1 / -0

He won’t need it

1
MAGAbeast2016 1 point ago +1 / -0

Pardon implies he did wrong. He simply defended himself.
