I’m only a curling fan every 4 years, but I did watch some Curling Night in America on NBCSN last year. IIRC, I stayed up all night to watch Shuster’ gold medal match live.
I also watched it live. It was kind of hard not to scream at 3:30 a.m. when he hit that 5 pointer in the 8th. Curling is an interesting sport. I wish it was televised much more often !
He choked so bad in the Vancouver olympics, and a lot in 2014. The US winning the gold in curling would be equivalent to say, (I hate referencing the NFL) the Browns or Bengals winning the Super Bowl. I don't think a lot of people realize how big of an upset that was.
Yeah man, I was a senior in college during the 2010 games, so I got really into curling then. The 2018 shuster team was a miracle. I wanted to root against shuster, but i wasn’t going to root against the USA in the medal round. Good times. Nothing beats 1980 though

Fuck John shuster! I hated him after how bad he sucked in 2010. I couldn’t believe what happened in 2018
