In truth, it's likely he could still operate the pistol - but that's the difference between someone who's nothing left to lose, and someone who doesn't have to be in the situation he's in.
He's still holding the gun, his finger's still on the trigger. He's likely pumping with adrenaline even though he's also probably in shock, it's fight or flight, either state will get him to where he wants to get to next.
I.e., The half arm-bandit chose his life over attempting to fire the pistol with a fuck up arm.
I dunno, the way his wrist was flopped over tells me there was a lot of tendon damage. That bullet struck deep. He was still able to maintain some grip with his ring and pinky fingers, but I really don't think he was able to raise the gun or pull the trigger with that hand anymore. Not that he was in a state of mind to do it if he could. That's not just a look of physiological shock, that's a look of psychological horror. It's one I hope all commies soon experience (I'm guessing it will sink in sometime in early November) as they realize the end of their retarded ideology is near.
You can see in the video, when he's first shot he drops the pistol, and it's sliding on the ground. So in that photo, he's retrieved it and is holding it and his finger is now on the trigger.
I think, otherwise how else did it get back into his hand? Could be wrong.
Look closely, he was holding his cell phone in his left hand and dropped it when he was shot. That's what you see sliding on the ground, he never lost his grip on the weapon. Whether he could still use it or not is another question.
