Hopefully, they will be slapped down back to reasonable levels, or else I don't see a future for the game in a time where people are already clamping down on spending and necessary gatherings.
Unfortunately they seem to be going out of their way to destroy EDH too, that was a fun format until they started printing busted commanders and commander-only cards to sell precons.
Maybe some sort of unofficial format that begins and ends with the Ravnica blocks?
We've been having a good time with it, we just pirate all the PDFs and ignore the lore when it gets woke. That's the great thing about TTRPGS... They can change the official setting all they want, but you can just ignore it and make your world whatever you want.
WotC got their communist hands around the throats of MTG stores, killing the brand entirely. They started banning stores that have pro-american flags or anti-LGBT flags. They hold the power to ban individual players for speaking out on social media.
DND however is untouchable and it's growing in popularity, the fact WotC owns DND has no effect whatsoever on it's players. The rules are only a guide and players always homebrew, and no one enjoys adventure league modules more than a great home made story. Even Matt Mercer's Water Deep is saturated with PC bullshit and it's infinitely worse to play than a solid homebrew.
Too bad WotC is filled with cucks—MtG and D&D are both great games that I fully expect them to run into the ground eventually.
