Been following US since Trump 2016.
Been watching the slow escalation in US since then. Trump was obviously not meant to win.
Seeing the gaslighting of an entire country has been intense.
Then to see Kyle brings it all into too sharp relief for me.
If he didn't kill those people he most likely would have died or suffered permanent injury. Beaten or killed by the scum of society in a country where they have been showcasing to psychos that there are no rules.
They died. And it's not that they deserved it... I don't know them. But their riot rage overrode their logic to the point that they didn't see that you cannot tackle someone with an AR.
I've been able to handle it all up until this point. I can still handle it. But fuck
I don't think foreigners can ever understand America. We are made up of huge class and cultural differences that go back centuries. In some regions we get along so much better than others. Believe it or NOT the South is way more harmonious because we are kin in culture. It's also a giant country. Australia's big honey. But you can't live in half of it without dying like a dog in hot truck.
This nation is never ever ever gonna give up guns. That ain't going to happen. They can yammer on all they want. This isn't Australia and we shall not comply. They are laying around like pennies under couches here. People have guns they've forgotten about there's so many.
Another thing, we will not be baited into some phoney ass civil war by a minority with fake grievances. These people have set asides beside set asides. They can stfu. My daughter was just DENIED a federal work study because get this, we make too much money. Really??? really seh wanted to work on campus. But her parents are some how rich. I don't fucking think so. Show me my wealth. But if she was black she'd have velvet seat.
Because we are lacking/they are destroying the American culture that allows the rest of our cultures to work together as a nation underneath.
Agreed.
“Diversity is our greatest strength “ brought to us by the RNC and DNC.some douchebags want more diverse cultures.
I had some friends who all went to America, bought a second hand van, painted the Aussie flag on it and travelled round America.
They told me that the South was the best and they never wanted to leave. So much hospitality. I think my friend is still in love with a Southern Belle he met 15 years later and considers her the one who got away.
I used to be brainwashed into believing that the US had an unhealthy relationship with guns and that anyone who didn't support gun reform was mental.
The media over here about US is really only a distilled version of your CNNs. I.e. Obama was a noble King and Trump is a bufoonish dictator and guns are bad. Most people believe it because why would they care... It's not their country.
But I have been awakened. I now know that an armed populace is necessary to protect against a potentially dictatorial government. I'm saddened that Australia was essentially disarmed years ago through a "gun buyback" program that was driven by fear and virtue signalling.
Best of luck fellow pede! Glad you guys have lots of guns. Looks like you might need them.
There is a growing number of Aussies who are pro guns.
Almost all my mates (around 30) are pro guns. I think its due to being more involved in American politics and culture. We see things like Kyle and go fuck wish I had a gun.
When we were 20 we were all happy with some gun control. I think its changing.
Problem is a lot of the shooters and farmers dont really support it enough cause they have access to the guns they want so they dont care.
Makes sense that a growing number of people become pro guns when they start to see the fabric of society start to tear!
Don’t know about your part of Australia. Rest assured in my part of Australia we are most definitely armed.
Good to here mate.
QLD ? Qld'er here, have guns.
You might be surprised at how well some do. This is why we swear the Oath of Allegiance. And none of us take that lightly. (American Aussie)
Flag point taken. I know folks like you appreciate it. I just mean people from afar and visitors. Heck, I even think Americans who spend all their lives in one city/region are very tight minded.
The problems that you describe are not confined to the US anymore. Where I live, the media is INSANE! Even the church moved to the left.
Multiculturalism is a new religion. We have nongovernmental areas in almost all big cities. Look at Germany: Merkel is the head of government, her party is the Christian Democratic Union, the Party you could compare to the Republicans, but she acts like a communist. We have a power grabbing sowjet-style EU. But you know what we don’t have: No 2nd amendment and No Donald Trump.
I’m deeply convinced that Europe is lost. Only a big scale revolution can save us. Civil war is a possibility.
You're right. These things sweep the world in waves every hundred years. Sad thing is my stupid kids fall for THIS. It's insidious. I moved away from a vicious liberal town with high crime. But because they don't see it up front they see the media's spin. They think I'm exaggerating.
They have lived very nice sheltered lives. For this I am grateful. I wouldn't have it any other way. I wouldn't have them see violence in school and be terrified of their classmates. They can learn this crap later.
Even though our children don’t see the situation as clearly as we dom(I too have a daughter who thinks I’m exaggerating), this fight will be at least as much their fight than it is ours. The younger generation lacks perspective. They don’t know anything about communism, lawlessness or the consequences of an unprincipled life. They lived sheltered, as you say. But I have no doubt that eventually they will rise to the occasion. It must get worse before it gets better!
Let’s keep the faith!
