I don’t think the comment was referring to their morality, ethics or beliefs. It’s pointing out the impact a parent has. In this case one son is clearly being raised to be physically healthy and the other is not.
That’s not the point. The point is that one is properly disciplined while the other is not. One clearly has a sense of self control, while the other does not. It shows the importance of fathers being part of the child rearing process, and why single motherhood is so bad for kids.
