I agree. My comment was mostly in jest but there's definitely truth to it.

A lot of the time this kind of discussion doesn't go anywhere because people don't understand the details of what it means to grow up without either parent, they think that the values and mindset you learn from your father are literally taught, verbally, when it's more just copied behaviour and demonstrable action that can be replicated.

They think that the mother can pass on these things by teaching, but it's not that easy and men and women are different, which they don't understand.
