To that list add Gov. Cuomo who has been yanking the liquor licenses of any business with the audacity to stand up to his tyranny. The latest one was a golf course who sued the state to have more than 50 people at a private event, when they were already allowed to have 200 people in the same space when open to the public. Cuomo responded by pulling their liquor license, which will destroy their club in very short order as people are already cancelling events and reservations.
New York is fucked up for so many reasons. On top of that mistreatment NY assembly is trying to get 2 bills passed into law, in committee right now. A99 which allows people to be detained at a facility and forced medication as the state sees fit on as little as suspected contact, and A10755 that removes the ability for any peace officer to have a firearm. All this plus the NY Safe act makes me feel quite the opposite!
I remember in El Paso, the strip joints were BYOB because they didn't have liquor licenses. Also, the strip joints are low key brothels. At least they were 10 years ago.
