Yeah... Flint politicians, "We don't want to continue paying Detroit for our water, so we are going to take it over, fail, and then blame it on the Republicans". Yep, haven't forgotten about them. Corrupt bastards.

And WHY was Flint broke? NAFTA. Before NAFTA Flint had an employed population, auto plants, and a car line HQ. Then the plants were closed, the HQ moved out, and jobs were lost.
