New York is fucked up for so many reasons. On top of that mistreatment NY assembly is trying to get 2 bills passed into law, in committee right now. A99 which allows people to be detained at a facility and forced medication as the state sees fit on as little as suspected contact, and A10755 that removes the ability for any peace officer to have a firearm. All this plus the NY Safe act makes me feel quite the opposite!
