I was talking to one of my students from Russia yesterday and he said A LOT of people like Trump in Russia. The Fake News portrays Russians as evil boogeymen but that’s are remarkably similar to you and I. They are sweet industrious people. I’ve heard the same from my student living in Mexico City and from my Brazilian students. Trump and our country are respected in the world again and we are ARE on the right side of history.
I've traveled to Russia 3 times back in 2018/2019. The people, for the most part, are very friendly and hospitable. I avoided politics for the most part so can't say much about what they think about Trump but they're going through their own struggles with corruption in their government. They just want to be happy and left alone by government.
