Bad idea. If you pull out your gun to shoot someone, you shoot to kill because you believe your life or someone else’s is in imminent danger. If you shoot to wound, they will claim in court you didn’t believe your life was in danger and therefore an unjustified shooting. I can’t stress enough, don’t pull your gun and point it at someone unless you are prepared to kill them, you will get the book thrown at you for this alone. Plenty of history on this.
Not really. You shoot to stop the threat. You shoot center mass because that's the biggest target on the human body. Co-incidentally, that's where most of the major organs are. The reality is, though, 85% of people shot with a handgun survive the shooting. Never shoot to kill. Shoot to stop the threat. Once the threat is neutralized, STOP. If you find yourself in a use of force incident. NEVER say you shot to kill. NEVER say you shot to wound. Only say "I was in fear for my life and I fired at him/her/it. I will give a full and complete statement after consulting with an Attorney". Then shut your fucking mouth!
