The mom seems smart enough to know that if she (or others) makes a big stink, people are just going to look into her son’s situation that much closer. At some point, any rational person is going to wonder why the cops were there in the first place. And they aren’t going to like what they see. The guy was a rapist and the cops were called by a woman whom he had previously assaulted.
