If they persist, I tell them that it is against the law for them to deny me service, or to ask me what my specific condition is. This has worked effectively 100% of the time.

The problem is the store does have the right to kick you out for not wearing a mask. Even if you can’t wear one they may require you to use curbside pickup or some other service instead of entering the store, and it’s legal. Tricking and shaming the employees is much more effective trolling. You get to shop, they’re stumped and maybe even embarrassed. If you let them call the police the police will tell you you are trespassing
