The more this is allowed to fester, the more you'll see blowback from the right. The issue will be is if the left attempts to one-up and the spiral begins. Likewise, Pelosi et al agitating for [another] coup this election, and refusal to concede, is more fuel into the pile.
Many people who would take action have hope that this country is on the right track to getting better, and that we can finally see the end of the long train of abuses. When it is not only possible, but more than likely that things will improve sooner rather than later, people won’t be willing to fully commit to revolution.
On the other hand, the left sees the trump train steamrolling overtop all their garbage policies, they know they can’t stop it in congress, they know they can’t stop it at the voting booth, they saw the senate filling hundreds of vacancies on courts across the country, they saw trump get 2 SCOTUS pick and rbg on double secret life-support, and they know the trump train has no brakes and won’t stop on its own. Those on the left who are willing to start a revolution are already out in the streets. The only reason they have been going for weeks is that they have mostly been ignored and been given free reign. Whenever they go up against the police they lose. Whenever they go up against civilian patriots, they lose. And now they just saw that they can’t even go up against right wing kids even with a major advantage in numbers.
It is not true that wherever they go up against the Police they lose. Neither is it true that wherever they face civilian resistance they lose. We have seen examples of both these things being proven false.
What we haven't seen them defeat is civilians teamed up with LEOs. Sheriffs are the ones most willing to do this so far.
Definitely. Sheriffs are the one who control CCW permitting, for instance, in non-"shall issue" states. They're ultimately the top law enforcer in the County. A lot rides on them.

YES! In any County, the Sheriff is (theoretically) the most important / powerful LEO. Fortunately here our Sheriff is at least decent, and so is the Chief of Police.
