You left out NHL. They went full BLM slso

Celtic_Warrior 6 points ago +6 / -0

And MLS to an even greater extent but Americans don’t seem to care much about soccer anyway.

I did not expect the NHL to be cucked. The others were not a shock.

I'm honestly so thankful for all of this. I used to spend my entire life watching the NFL, NBA, and MLB. I've spent countless dollars on tickets and merchandise. I was devastated when they canceled sports in March. And then...I slowly realized my life was not different in any way. Why the fuck do I care if some multi-millionaire wins a game? Their full-throated support of Marxism just ensures I will never watch another one of their events in my life and happily spend that money on other stuff. Fuck them.

I used to be super into watching sports as well, especially NFL.

When I got into the 'sexual strategy' Red Pill there was a question, "Why are you wasting your time watching other people have fun instead of using that time to do fun things yourself?"

And I was like, well shit, since you put it that way. Took my Sundays and evenings back and my happiness doesn't get impacted by complete strangers winning or losing a children's game anymore.

There are still sports in my life, but it's me and my family and friends going out and playing them. I don't miss pro sports at all.

This is exactly it. I had the added bonus of being a Cleveland fan so talk about a complete waste of time. I was dumb enough to buy into the "you gotta support your city win or lose" marketing. I've played golf this summer more than I have in years. I got some friends together to play basketball who have all given up on the NBA too. It's way more fulfilling.

I've never been into sports. I've never understood the appeal. If I'm not playing it, why the hell would I want to watch it?

MAGABaggins 3 points ago +3 / -0

For me I'm guessing it was all the advertising I was subject to growing up portraying sports as heroic. And at one point it did give me a sense of belonging or community. Just something fun to do with other people when it was actually about the sport. Now it's entirely about cultural Marxism. I don't care to be lectured about how I'm racist the whole game.

swimminginthoughts 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh just wait. Now that you don't follow it, you'll feel so out of place when people are talking about it at work!

My country is essential, they are not

underthesmellybridge 6 points ago +6 / -0

Fuck professional sports.

Overpaid misfits playing a child's game, and most of them abusing drugs to make it possible.

6
TheSHazDroid 6 points ago +6 / -0

Remember. Follow the money.

Professional sports make their biggest money from thenTV contracts. More than ticket sales & merchandise combined.

And its been the TV networks that have forced sports to become politicized.

Cut the cord and don't watch them.

But if you have cable you’re still funding these leagues.

7
GWNorthman 7 points ago +7 / -0

Don't purchase merch, don't buy pay per view events, don't go to physical games (when that's a thing), don't promote them on social media platforms, don't buy or download the sports apps. Prob other ideas, but that's off the top of my head.

2
heyjobie 2 points ago +2 / -0

This. I got downvoted on r/flyers for mocking the blatant virtue signaling. The leagues are scared to go against the grain. They’re following bronbron but Bronbron gonna make mills off China despite minority slavery. I pirate their games anyway, the fucks. Never buying another ticket or piece of merch

YEP. CHYna sheeples.

Cut the cable.

Support the UFC and its great President Dana White. We also have top fighters like Colby Covington who are huge Trump supporters

3
DJFG 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm going to give it a try just because of their support.

pmurTJdlanoD 4 points ago +4 / -0

There are some good fights tonight!!! Great timing. Bet their ratings will be thru the roof after Dana’s speech, too.

Honestly, I do miss NASCAR.

But the NASCAR I miss no longer exists.

3
WhoWasThatMaskedMan 3 points ago +3 / -0

I never got into NASCAR, but I used to enjoy watching the big four leagues. Even before all the commie bullshit, they were degraded products. The NBA is all chucking threes. The MLB is walk, strikeout, home run. The NFL is big play, flag, big play, flag. NHL is still pretty good around playoff time, but I still won't miss it or the rest.

3
rimper 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup... It's all been finally, completely turned to shit.

3
meriwetherlewis 3 points ago +3 / -0

And NHL is on thin ice.

2
DNC_Ballot_QATeam 2 points ago +2 / -0

When the leagues get rid of their activist and social justice warriors - I will watch again. Until then I will not give them a second of my attention.

2
rock_legend 2 points ago +2 / -0

None of these professional sports organizations will ever honestly report it but I would love to know the true monetary impact all of this virtue signaling has cost them.

Azarak 2 points ago +2 / -0

Stopped watching all of it years ago. I enjoy video games, photography, reading and going outside/traveling more. Okay - - I admit to vegging out with the occasional good movies and non-SJW series too while in recliner mode. Most of all, being here in all the in between time (lots of it) has been rewarding!

More time for family, friends, outdoor activity, exercise, connecting with God, target shooting, any number of hobbies.

Sports teams used to be a sense of national or even state pride, but those days are long over. Now, it's just overpaid, self important narcissists playing a game.. Who, without viewership, are nothing.

I can't really speak to any alternatives for sportsballz, but for auto racing - if you enjoy watching cars going at high speeds competitively, but don't care to have communist horseshit slathered in endless corporate whoremongering lobbed at you by railgun, there is an option. IMSA/WEC. This is the series that hosts the Rolex 24 at Daytona, 24 Hours of LeMans, 12 Hours of Sebring, and a couple dozen other races from a couple hours to the handful of 24hr events scattered around the planet throughout the year.

There are multiple classes racing at the same time which makes for hundreds of overtakes and allows the drivers and teams to actually showcase actual talent. If you care to wait for a day or two after the live event, the entire race will be posted on yt for free, no commercials, no bullshit, on IMSA's page. There's also F1 and that crowd but they do allow their series to be politicized from time to time. Not anywhere near as much as NASCAR or sportsballz, but it's there sometimes. Seems the IMSA teams and fans just want to non-politically enjoy their competition and atmosphere of a family friendly weekend activity... you know, the way other sports used to be a few decades ago.

Here here!

2
HeavenlyTrumpets 2 points ago +2 / -0

When the athletes have zero humility or gratitude, it just isn't fun to watch imo.

2
ParkerTruman 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have no desire to watch sports. I'm someone who did enjoy sports. No more. I just cant waste my time watching millionaires claim oppression.

2
InterloperKO 2 points ago +2 / -0

The reason they got sports to endorse BLM is to prevent the admin from labeling them a terrorist org

2
RoofKorean 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've never been into any of these anyway so it's no big loss for me, but I applaud the sports-loving fanatics who are actively choosing to boycott. Must be tough.
