I'm honestly so thankful for all of this. I used to spend my entire life watching the NFL, NBA, and MLB. I've spent countless dollars on tickets and merchandise. I was devastated when they canceled sports in March. And then...I slowly realized my life was not different in any way. Why the fuck do I care if some multi-millionaire wins a game? Their full-throated support of Marxism just ensures I will never watch another one of their events in my life and happily spend that money on other stuff. Fuck them.

I used to be super into watching sports as well, especially NFL.

When I got into the 'sexual strategy' Red Pill there was a question, "Why are you wasting your time watching other people have fun instead of using that time to do fun things yourself?"

And I was like, well shit, since you put it that way. Took my Sundays and evenings back and my happiness doesn't get impacted by complete strangers winning or losing a children's game anymore.

There are still sports in my life, but it's me and my family and friends going out and playing them. I don't miss pro sports at all.

This is exactly it. I had the added bonus of being a Cleveland fan so talk about a complete waste of time. I was dumb enough to buy into the "you gotta support your city win or lose" marketing. I've played golf this summer more than I have in years. I got some friends together to play basketball who have all given up on the NBA too. It's way more fulfilling.

I've never been into sports. I've never understood the appeal. If I'm not playing it, why the hell would I want to watch it?

For me I'm guessing it was all the advertising I was subject to growing up portraying sports as heroic. And at one point it did give me a sense of belonging or community. Just something fun to do with other people when it was actually about the sport. Now it's entirely about cultural Marxism. I don't care to be lectured about how I'm racist the whole game.

Oh just wait. Now that you don't follow it, you'll feel so out of place when people are talking about it at work!
