Camo is on the left's list of things they will eventually ban for civilians. As published by the Brady Campaign in the late 80s. It was part of a whole laundry list - and the left keeps targeting things on that list. They will get to camo one day.
IIRC, the Brady push was to ban camo in public settings (e.g. schools, on the streets, in fashion houses). The left hadn't come up with its current set of nonsense newspeak, but at the time I think the Brady document decried people wearing camo in civil settings because they thought camo was a way of normalizing militarism or some nonsense like that.
