No, the numbers are percentages of the cross section. So, 44% of people 90+ years old who were diagnosed with COVID and had 0 comorbidities died.

That means that if you are 95-years-old and you have no comorbidities, if you catch COVID your chances of living are better than a coin flip.

At 95 years old, you can die from a strong breeze. And you still have to catch it first. We're still less than 2% of the population infected. So, 1 out of 50 chance of catching the disease, then a 50% of dying if you do catch it. That's 1 in 100 chance that one specific random disease will kill you. At 95, you have a 25% of dying within a year anyway.
