Not to be callous, but for people who probably would've died this year anyway.

An early death is still sad, but that's also part of life. If I were old and elderly I'd shut myself in, not selfishly ask everyone else to shut down.

I know it wasn't the old people asking for this so I'm not blaming them. Just saying politicians should've let people make their own decisions instead of trying to control a force of nature that can't really be controlled.
