To take away your property they must go through you, which requires they initiate violence. You are no longer defending your rights, you are defending your life which you have put on the line, matching violence with violence in self defense up to and including lethal force. It's your choice whether your property is worth your life, as it is your aggressors choice whether your property is worth their life. Who else is better able to determine the value of their life besides the owner? They can de-escalate at any time. If they choose to proceed and lose their life in the process, they did so because they chose to place a higher value on your property than their life.
Their stances are so hypocritical and dissolves under the slightest scrutiny that they have tunnel vision for every separate view. Point out those tunneled views can't coexist perfectly and they get mad.
They don't see it as looting, they see it as reparations, redistribution, yadda yadda pretzel logic. They don't operate on a frame of reference even close to ours...
