In basic terms, the CDC is simply saying 6% of people whom are believed to have passed away due to covid-19 did so whilst being free of other factors that contributed to the death. Do any of us expect covid-19 to ONLY bring about death in people without additional health problems that can contribute to death, and when they are not in very advanced years of age.
