Having trouble with my first meme. I'm a rank amateur, but I've gotten to my image in Imgur. I am trying to upload it back in imgflip to go on my background. I copied the image address from Imgur and pasted it into the Upload URL space. This is the address I pasted: https://imgur.com/[MY IMAGE]
Error message comes up: "Image had invalid mime type: text/html." Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
nononnono, this is more like a c+ or b- effort. sure, the humor element lacks meat on the bones, and the production quality is flimsy.
BUT.
It is NOT EASY to hand-draw without a stylus, so any meme maker would see the care that went into the coloring-in part and the gun, and that gives it an element of irony and kekliciousness. Also "Paramedicks" prolly was not easy to fit onto that hat. Again, a memesmith would know this where it would be lost on a layman. So that is the second layer of kekfactor.
All in all, you can see the time that went into it, and it was not a total loss. Shows promise. Now you just need a more mass-appeal subject material.

Identity politics and anti-democratic threats of refusing to accept the results of an election. Pushing false narratives of election meddling, voter suppression, and systemic racism. Refusing to take control of cities under siege by violent mobs pushing for a bolshevik revolt. Honestly, 99.9% of this indefensible violence lands directly at the feet of the derelict Democratic party.

Sometimes I put in more effort and time on a meme because that is the artist/designer in me...wanting to make something to a higher quality or standard. Ultimately, just trying to make something funny (obviously) so, if it looks a little funny, it's probably better. Sometimes the "crudest" or most simple memes are the ones that become viral. You just never know.

Yeah.. I think the best one's are often times somewhat rather crudely made. Sometimes it's more about the content than the execution. That being said, a really well crafted meme with excellent editing just adds to funny content and words.
I have an idea for a video meme. It's the scene from Blazing Saddles where the Harvey Korman character is listing all the bad guys he wants to hire to destroy the town. Thugs, pugs, dimwits, nitwits, etc. Put George Soros over Harvey Korman's face and any crummy Democratic politician over his sidekick's face. Lol. Dumb, I know. I'm old and I can't meme. But I do enjoy a good meme. Okay, going back to quietly reading posts now. Lol.

Thanks man! I've been trying to get better with video. Since this is a 101 I'll list the few steps I applied in case someone wants to try.
In After Effects, key the skin color as best as you can. I used 'Composite Brush' which lets you replace the skin color with White.
Add 'Cartooner' to the keyed layer and mess with the settings until the edges look like you want.
Put the original video behind the keyed layer to bring back the original background.
It's not perfect but I bet a pro could get it looking real good.
I missed it, but if you are giving training classes, this is pure genius.

What's a good program for drawing pepe's.
Using gimp for photoshop stuff
Draw it with a pencil on a sheet of paper. Use the eraser sparingly, the drawing does not need to be perfect.
Take a photo of the drawing. Try to avoid weird shadows and lighting.
Open the photo in your image editor. Make a new layer. Start drawing lines and adding color in a layer on top of the photo of your drawing.
Hide the photo layer. Add text and more graphics as needed.
