129
doug2 129 points ago +130 / -1

"During the trip, the president told reporters he was aware of the case of 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who was charged with shooting and killing two of the violent agitators.

“We are looking at it very, very carefully,” he said."

You know what that means, he will not be left behind by our POTUS. Trump does the right thing, even if it is said to be politically unpopular (Stone pardon). The thing is, people value integrity more than they dislike each individual decision, if that makes sense.

They most certainly would though. They’d call it “token” or every other name in the book because they’re racist if you disagree with them. While I wouldn’t disagree with this ticket, one’s a Senator from my home state and he’s pretty well liked, if we play into their hand with identity politics, we’re bound to lose long term. We need to pick our candidates off America First policies, otherwise we fall right back into their trap of trying to please Democrats based on whatever gender and race is popular at the moment. Don’t buy into this false narrative, Tim Scott may have a bright future as I hope Noem does as well, but it ain’t cause he’s black or she’s a woman. These “dream tickets” don’t work (Palin), maybe the Dems pulled it off once with Barry, but it’s not what we’re about.

2
Megadog3 2 points ago +2 / -0

The Dems would literally REEEE that the Republicans would dare to nominate and elect a female and black person to the Presidency. It would be fucking wonderful.

2

2

Tim Scott? The Senator Tim Scott who met with Paul Ryan and 16 other never Trumpers to discuss the "Trump situation" at a meeting in Jeckyll Island during the summer of 2016? Do not trust Tim Scott.

2
Megadog3 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. Tim Scott. His RNC speech solidified him as a favorite. My mom was almost crying during his speech. We love him. Obviously I like Kristi Noem more, so I’d want her to be the President. But he’d be a great VP. He might’ve been a never Trumper once, but he’s clearly come around and is loyal to Trump. Unless you don’t think people can change?

Gaetz, Jim Jordan, James Woods, Grenell, Eric and Don Jr should also all be in the conversation. The main question is who goes where.

8
endthefed11 8 points ago +8 / -0

I really like Don Jr. Personally, I like the idea of electing presidents with zero political experience. All of them would be great. Anyone from the freedom caucus would have my vote. I would also add Rand Paul to the list.

4
BestTimeToBAlive 4 points ago +4 / -0

GRENELL!! 💥💥

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +3 / -1

Grenell and Noem on the same ticket would make liberal's heads explode. I wouldn't mind seeing her talk everywhere, either; I had no idea how gorgeous she is. I wouldn't say she's on Melania's level, but who is?

The only downside is we'd lose perhaps the most based Governor we've got. Can she be replaced? Come on, SD!

In terms of electability, we might not be able to do any better. The only question is, who goes on the top of the ticket?

5
getkek 5 points ago +6 / -1

I was on board with Noem until I read her voting against repealing mandatory vaccinations for public schooling.

Not sure where she really stands yet, unless she provided reasonable tax rebates for those choosing homeschool.

3
BunnyPicnic 3 points ago +5 / -2

There should absolutely be some mandatory vaccines if you want to send your kid to a public school. We don't need anyone getting polio.

3
getkek 3 points ago +3 / -0

Then get your kid vaccinated, right? You talk about not paying taxes in one post, but then push tyrannical forced inoculation in another..flip flopping on your stance of government over-reach.

Just like this bullshit coronavirus, the great diseases of the turn of the century didn’t affect healthy, only the sick or weak (other conditions). 99% of the population carried on just fine without taking a shot.

Shots are to protect the weak. So I say, make them stay the fuck home.

2
BeefChucker 2 points ago +3 / -1

I don't think some people understand why many of these vaccines were created in the first place.

I mean, every ex-president alive and Joe Hiden threw their support behind Jacob Blake before finding out he raped the woman (sleeping next to her child) that called police on him a second time...

Now they all get to enjoy cannonizing a rapist whilst debasing themselves of what little integrity that they may have still has.

That's the quality of leadership this Nation has had for decades pre-GEOTUS

Much in the same way Pompeo is handling China policy and we’re seeing the fruits of that now. Get a grip dude.

-12
EpicPede -12 points ago +5 / -17

2
r4ptur3 2 points ago +2 / -0

4D move by GEOTUS. Traveling to the area immediately sends a secret service advance team, once on the ground the area is declared a restricted zone authorizing the US Secret Service and military to defend the president from ANY threat. He should just keep doing the rounds through Portland, Seattle, etc after that. Antifa/BLM will threaten his security and end up with one-way tickets to gitmo.

2
FuckRioters 2 points ago +2 / -0

As much as I think Kyle deserves all of our support, I think now is absolutely not the right time for Trump to speak up. Kyle has a lot of support from the rest of us and good legal representation.

2

FWIW, I don't think Stone was pardoned. I think his sentence was commuted.

1

You're right.

43
Houdini 43 points ago +43 / -0

He should also not throw the cops who lawfully shot the rapist under the bus. I hope he's not getting bad advice here.

I'm seeing a lot of negativity towards BLM in the more normie, apolitical corners of the Internet, it might be time to start punching back at those fuckers.

22
willy-willis 22 points ago +22 / -0

My thoughts exactly. Trump referred to Floyd positively and walked the 'police reform' line back in May-June because, well, few knew what we now know about what happened there and public support for BLM was at a fervent peak, so doing otherwise would probably have been political suicide. But now, not only has Trump shaken up his campaign staff a while ago and taken a much more strident law-and-order line, but BLM is weakening and support for the protests/'''''protests''''' seems to be waning quickly, especially as more details about Rittenhouse's battle with BLM and Antifa come out.

I stand by the idea that Kenosha's a turning point and will soon enable, if it hasn't already, previously unthinkable direct attacks on BLM's formerly-near-untouchable image in the public sphere and on a mass scale.

18
No_Malarkey_Joe 18 points ago +18 / -0

The problem is the glow from Saint Floyd's halo is still a little too bright to start saying anything overtly negative about him. We know that Floyd's Fentanyl Funtime™ caused his death and Chauvin is probably more guilty of not understanding optics than anything else but the normies don't. For fucks sake, go to any conservative on twitter who's tweeting about Jake Blake and a majority of the comments are "sEvEn ShOtS aRe ExCeSsIvE"

11
Megadog3 11 points ago +11 / -0

What do those cucks expect the police to do when someone goes for a weapon after he doesn't go down from a fucking tazer? It wouldn't surprise me if that piece of garbage was wacked out on a ton of different drugs, so they had to unload their clip to actually take him down. AND it didn't even kill the fucker.

3
NormaJeanRocks 3 points ago +3 / -0

I said at first there is no possible way he got shot 7 fucking times in the back and lived, if so he is one lucky dude or something is looking out for him. Thats insane

2
Megadog3 2 points ago +2 / -0

He’s an even bigger piece of shit than Fentanyl Floyd.

5
willy-willis 5 points ago +5 / -0

Totally understandable. In Blake's case, the police report on what happened just came out yesterday. It'll take some time to really sink in, but I believe Trump (or if he can't do it himself because of optics reasons, based allies such as Tucker) can accelerate that process by steadily and consistently pushing its contents onto the public.

9
zooty 9 points ago +9 / -0

Giuliani was still running with Floyd being murdered at the RNC which is a bit concerning. Presumably everything is vetted before going out.

3
zabbers 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nobody vets Rudy!

2
520kj 2 points ago +2 / -0

I noticed that too and it raised my eyebrows.

2
zooty 2 points ago +2 / -0

I mean, I can understand not going full "fentanyl floyd" but it would still be possible to convey the same message of national unity abandoned and be a little more circumspect about the circumstances.

8
when_we_win_remember 8 points ago +8 / -0

The police do need reform though. No-knock warrants. Public sector unions. Diversity hiring. Asset forfeiture. All bullshit.

5
willy-willis 5 points ago +5 / -0

Certainly. The way it had been timed and pitched earlier seemed purely reactionary to the then-totally-uncontested Floyd narrative and even a little panicky, though.

2
520kj 2 points ago +2 / -0

Seems to me these are the sort of things communities could be dealing with on a case by case basis at the local or state level. These "fiery but peaceful protests" nationwide are not going to accomplish the kind of reform you're talking about. They only serve to discredit the whole idea.

-1
BearFloo -1 points ago +2 / -3

willy-willis 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes, I see now that it was a Trump supporter. Previously saw news about it right as I was going to hit the sheets, but it was all confused and nobody seemed to have known who died and who did it back then. It would also appear to be a completely unprovoked murder, unlike Rittenhouse's pure self-defense.

This, along with the Rittenhouse incident, still certainly represent a turning point IMO. The war with Antifa in the streets has fully heated up. Carrying to every rally, every counter-protest, and becoming much more willing to shoot and outright kill Antifa on sight at the first sign of trouble is now clearly necessary going forward.

2
BearFloo 2 points ago +3 / -1

A turning point in public understanding and peoples willingness to fight bac

We lose the country if we continue to think we can ignore this

No way Kyle gets charged with 1st degree murder that's just liberal prosecutors over charging the young man. He may get a misdemeanor for a minor with a weapon but self defense isn't a crime the Rosenbaum dude attacked him and tried to take his gun he had to shoot the Pedo then the other two numbskulls deserved to get shot the one was trying to execute him and just got a hole in his arm.

3
u_yeetus 3 points ago +4 / -1

There's nothing about under 18s handling a firearm afaik, only improper use/handling of a firearm which he didn't do.

2
FuckRioters 2 points ago +2 / -0

For the asshats arguing Kyle is a murderer, I think there's only one simple argument:

"Should Kyle have allowed Jospeh Rosembaum to take his weapon?"

Until this question is answered, nothing else around the event matters. No other question matters. No other debate matters. No "whataobuts" or "whatifs."

  • If they say, "yes" then point out how fucked up they are for suggesting a 17 year old should have allowed a convicted felon pedophile chasing him to overpower him and steal his weapon, and likely murder him in cold blood. They're also dumbasses.
  • If they say "no" then the first shooting is clear self defense in the first shooting, which then the conversation can continue.
  • If they refuse to answer the question, they're a dishonest coward.

Between the national guard and SS, he'll be safer there than in DC. Who knows, maybe a few of the dumbass rioters will get bold and get Kyle'd by the secret service.

Kyle is a ninja. He sees where the shooters will before they know where they are going

The Secret Service should follow his lead

Hope he sneaks in on Monday instead of Tuesday - surprise in and out, nobody can plan anything nefarious. Do it in the mornings, decent people will be up and about, rioters will still be asleep until about 2p when it's time to freeze more water bottles and collect bricks.

The left would REEEEEEE so hard if he brought Jacob Blake's mother on the podium and she preached unity and thanked President Trump again.

This kind of thinking doesn't sit right with me. The idea that the President and we as his supporters should pussyfoot around, lest we rile up the fit-throwers, is nonsensical. There is no appeasing these commies. They are going to act like the commie assholes they are until someone stops them.Walking on eggshells so as to not upset them only emboldens them.
