It was pretty decent. I watched it prior to reading any reviews and just took it as it is. Trying to remember how awesome the old ones made me feel.

Other than shoe horning female bill and Ted's as their daughters I didn't feel it was too social justicey.

I felt that they kept it unpolitical and true to the original. Good clean fun.

Although I was stoned and had a few wines to lose myself in the moment so might have missed some built in indoctrination! Hahaha

The movie was ass, Ted's gender neutral daughter is the worst actor I've ever seen. It shit's all over the legacy of Bill & Ted, You knew within 5 mins how it would end when the prophecy only mentioned their last names. Bill & Ted were always lovable idiots but I swear their kids had down syndrome mumbling and slurring every other word.

I guess I didn't consider the daughter gender neutral.

Did they make mention in the show? I might have missed it.

If they did I would agree with you.

In the movie no, but in interviews both the actors go on and on and on about how the kids are gender neutral and how amazing that is plus Ted's kid is Gender neutral IRL. Surprised nobody pitched a fit over Samara Weaving not being Trans.

Fair enough.

I was really trying to like the movie. Loved Bill and Ted.

I guess I can handle light trans inuendo way better than I can handle in your face trans indoctrination. Hahaha

It's not even about that, the kids contributed nothing and were shoehorned in as the heroes because "Feminism" on top of Bill & Ted being being beta male losers the whole movie when the last we saw them they were Metal Gods.

Yeah.

What I have realised even by just having this discussion... Is that they have pushed me so hard culturally, that something that would have upset me just 4 years ago (think Ghostbusters) doesn't even come close to upsetting me because they haven't shoved gays and transexuals in my face.

It's like Jordan Peterson says... The method is... Push you a little bit backwards and then relent. Then do that over and over again. Eventually you will be ten miles back across the line you said you would never cross.

Also. Ending fizzled a little. It was no "God gave Rocken Roll to you" finale.
