I have a friend who follows the Stars around the country with her boyfriend (never thought about them once before dating this guy) and they’re both die hard lefty fanatics. They prob think the pro-BLM stuff is great.
Well I hope the NHL can survive on that revenue. For me, it isn't even a cancel culture thing - it is more I just don't enjoy it any more. They have tainted it too much and made a sport something it was not. I really just don't care about it now.
It goes both ways. I've seen the Stars in several cities. Was planning another trip this year. Loved the sport have seen games in all sorts of leagues. Bare minimum I've lost any and all enthusiasm and I'm done spending money with them. I'm not sure there's anything they can do to bring that back.
I know lots of others also not happy about this. We were the ones with the open checkbooks, it wouldn't take losing revenue from that many of us before it equals a few players contracts. I'm not sure if the NBA or NFL can get away with it or not, or maybe an NHL team in lefty land. I think a team in the South like the Stars have yet to understand what they've done to themselves.
