They've quietly updated their numbers to show that only 6% of coronavirus deaths were attributable strictly to the virus. The average number of comorbidities when they were present was 2.6. If you look through those numbers, you'll find that (going to say this bluntly, if you have thin skin, beware) the overwhelming number of deaths are due to old people and people who are already very sick - think governors shoving Coronavirus patients in nursing homes situations. In addition, there are also stories of counties doing audits of their data and finding gross overstating of their active case numbers.
