Public education wasn't always this way. The people before us let communists take it over and here we are fighting them while shielding our kids from subversion and their evil indoctrination. Even the private institutions have been besieged by them. At-home schooling is now at the mercy of common core thinking. We have a lot of work to do but I do know that it requires a proverbial tar and feathering just before throwing these fuckers off a cliff.
Watched a doc today on Frontline (I know) about Michelle Rhee, the old Chancellor of DC schools. She came in and swept through, smart as shit. Hired hundreds of new teachers to be able to "lay off" the pieces of shit bad ones. They fought her every chance. The teachers had been faking student test scores to get bonuses.
Worst part is, they oust her, and it's proven they cheated. Doesn't that totally support her sentiments of get these POS teachers that are bad for our children out of here? Nah, the left took and made it like she did something bad instead the obvious conclusion, she was right.
I agree, I am near 40 and I look back at my education and it was riddled with commie anti American propaganda.
The whole institution definitely needs a house cleaning. All the commies and liberals need to go.
When did everyone decide their own brand of beliefs and politics need to be inserted into their jobs? Sports, education, entertainment; everything is tainted. Its like a non-stop infomercial and its warping the children.

Speaking at the "Transition to Greatness" roundtable, the president called upon Congress to enact school choice now, hailing it as […]
This starts with your local school board. This is directly under your community's control. You pay for it and you control it. There is no excuse. The headline up there shows that someone took the problem they had all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States. If you've never been to a school board meeting, look in the mirror for the solution to your problem.
No, it's not simple and it's not easy. Drawing national attention to it is a start but you still can't fix the country until you fix your own back yard. I live in a small town so I know what goes on in the county schools, everybody knows. Most people don't have that ease of access. You make a good and valid point but you have to start somewhere and a large overall approach is valid, no doubt about that. I'm just suggesting the school down the street.
Public education should be destroyed, root and branch, never to return.

You missed the whole part at the end where the SCOTUS made another ruling in 1967 that ruled most of the provisions of the law as unconstitutional.
Unfortunately
Gotta love elementary and middle schools requiring CNN 10 be watched as mandatory learning.
