To be fair, I can't blame wokeness for ruining The Simpsons... the show has sucked for almost two decades, long before woke culture (I guess it's more of an anti-culture) sunk their teeth into its dry, desiccated body. The entire goal of woke culture is to destroy everything you love, but it doesn't really work when they destroy something that had already destroyed itself.
Yes, and the way they accomplish this is by making you hate the things you once loved. Just look at the NFL, MLB, NBA, Disney, pop music, or basically any other form of entertainment. Most people watch movies and sports to escape from politics... so how do they ruin it for those people? They make everything political. Almost everyone on this board (understandably) now hates professional sports. That's their goal.
They've been pretty successful in the last few years, but if we can get Trump reelected, I think their grip on culture will start to weaken. Maybe that's just wishful thinking, but I have a pretty strong feeling that it's going to happen.
That's just called "getting older".
I don't just mean contemporary music. Whether you like the Beatles or Radiohead or Jimi Hendrix or Led Zeppelin or Post Malone. No matter what it is, if you enjoy it, they will attempt to infiltrate and infest it.

I don't have an issue with corporations creating IP. At the end of the day, a corporation is just a legal framework for people to work together. Things like feature films and TV series generally wouldn't be possible without a corporation.
On the other hand, I do have an issue with them maintaining a permanent hold on the IP they create. And frankly, it wouldn't matter if it was a corporation or an individual holding that control. After a while it becomes part of our shared culture.
Case in point is Star Trek Axanar, where fans made a 15 minute fan film, and planned to follow it up with a 90 minute fan film, both of which were to be non-commercial. CBS and Paramount sued them, and they settled out of court agreeing not to make the 90 minute film, and to instead create 2 more 15 minute films.
Star Trek is an IP from 1966, and it's a fairly major part of our culture. According to the CIA World Factbook the median age in the United States is 38.5. Most Americans weren't born until over 15 years after Star Trek was created, yet aren't allowed to tell their own stories around it.
