Is it time for candlelight vigils (or similar expressions) for those that have been targets of political violence because they are Trump supporters?
- Bernell Tramwell
- The as of yet unnamed victim of the shooting in Portland last night
- Countless others that have been beaten and harassed
This wouldn't be about democrats or republicans. This wouldn't be about supporting or voting for Trump. It would simply be a call to end political violence against supporters of Trump (and more generally political violence against the supporters of any candidate, including Biden--although there is scant evidence of people being targeted because of their support for Biden).
Would this be a more effective response than escalating violence?
