Is it better to be honest and say we plan to vote for the President, or is it better to lie and say Biden?

I'm talking from a pure strategic standpoint. Is it a bigger reward to encourage fellow Trump supporters by increasing Trump's poll numbers, OR is it better to lull the Dems into a false sense of security and make the "silent majority" appear even larger come Election Day?

I wanted to see what the community thinks. Comment below.

P.S. I'm assuming for this discussion that a pede actually meets a pollster, which seems to be a pretty rare occurrence.

The better the dems think theyre doing in the polls, the less fake ballots they think they need.

This was one of my arguments for the lie, but I worry about balancing this with the risk of demoralizing Trump voters who would only vote if they believe they have a good chance. Irrational voting strategy, but those people do exist. . . I guess there's no good answer in a broken poll to begin with.

Anyone following polls is a fucking moron. If you think polls are not for lying to people then see the first sentence.

I agree with this sentiment, but knowing that there are people in the general population who don't agree with that and are influenced by polls, I wanted to know what people thought would be a good strategy. 50% of people are dumber than the average person, so we have to cut into that vote share.

I've never once been polled, but if I do in the future; I wouldn't provide anything to the pollster. A few reasons why. For starters, I never believed polling numbers representing the mentality of voters. Polling is always done with a small number. Its just talking points for the media, and I doubt it sways smart voters. Stupid voters or ignorant voters will always vote based on their emotions anyway, more in the Democrat party than Republican, but both have them. Additionally, who really knows who's calling. For all I know they may be trying to dox me as a Trump supporter.
