In an attempt to properly educate myself, as all good pedes should, I followed some of the links in this townhall article to the actual NYT reporting.

I had hoped that i would then be able to find links to the information that they were ‘reporting’ on, namely the CDC press releases and postings. Every link that I attempted to follow, especially ones that were worded to indicate ‘hey, heres the literal thing that this sentence is talking about’, would only go to more NYT articles. Often times, it would ping-pong back and forth between a couple articles, citing each other as if that somehow made it legitimate.

I gave up trying to actually find the facts they were talking about and had to just search for them myself, independently.

If that is how these ‘news outlets’ operate, it’s no wonder their viewers are so ignorant. Even if they wanted to properly inform themselves, they just get sucked further into the shit hole.
