As we see the evil in our country (and world) growing; becoming complacent and brave, we need to remember to pray. Pray every morning, every night. Read God's word, rely on the Holy Spirit. The chaos can be used for good; this is the perfect timing for the biggest revival in history. I know it's tempting to be militant, to go to the source of evil and destroy it. We need to remember that our God is the creator, way maker, the righteous one! Eventually all the evil will be exposed, we need to speak truth firmly but lovingly. First we need to speak truth firstly in our homes, then our congregations, our communities and so on.

Maybe 2months before the most important election of our lifetime is not a good idea to start getting violent(I know you are not implying that, this is directed at others).

The media would absolutely love to have footage of Trump supporters being violent. They would blast it on the frontpage of everything. They had to manufacture fairytale crap like Bugaloo boys because we are peaceful and winning. Lets not give them what they want.

God gave us a brain. We're winning. We will never have another President like President Trump so please because one guy got shot in the middle of Portland(known Antifa hellhole) lets not sink to their level. Everyone knows Portland is scum of the earth so it's not any surprise

Right now we are being baited into violence. Jesus did not allow himself to be baited into violence.

I donโ€™t believe Christ called us to take beatings from mentally ill leftist scumbags. Jesus wasnโ€™t a pacifist. He turned over a few tables in his day.

Excellent post, Byecomey. The Lord is the only one who is entitled to vengeance. I so want to go and deliver my idea of justice to these heathens, but it's the LORD who will deliver justice to His people. Protect your family, self, and property? YES! Seek out confrontation so you can dispense a little justice? The Lord says no.

Remember, God sent out David with a sling and a rock, but it was Goliath and the Philistines that beckoned him out. He wasn't out hip firing at everyone that disagreed with him.

Jesus and His followers were assaulted when He was arrested. One of them cut off a servant's ear and He said to resist no more than that and they took Him.

So stick to self-defense, like Kyle.

The only time he was violent is when he chased the moneychangers out of the temple with a whip. He didn't come at that time for that. He came to save.

But when he comes the second time (Revelations 19), he comes as THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, with a sword in his hand, fire in his eye, sitting upon a white horse but his robe will be red--stained with blood.

The time for talk will be long over and the war between the saints and the soldiers of the Anti-Christ will begin.

Friends, we aren't far from this. Make sure you are ready.

And for those of us who are expecting to be Raptured before then, Iโ€™ve got two things for you to consider:

  1. There will be trials and tribulations leading up to The Great Tribulation and the advent of the Antichrist (Pseudo-Messiah). We will be taken through them in grace.
  2. A not insignificant portion of theologians, preachers and churchgoing Christians, including me, are expecting a post-Tribulation Rapture. Another portion expect a mid-Tribulation Rapture instead.
26
FearDaNazgulz [S] 26 points ago +26 / -0

Oh I agree. We need action, not necessarily violent retaliation. I won't lie, I want so badly to retaliate guns blazing. We need to fight evil, we cannot find true peace without facing evil head on. But the crazy thing is, Paul was kind of a terrorist at first and became one of the hardchargers. Now imagine these commie idiots redirecting their ferver to the Lord? That would be a modern miracle

It could happen, and we should never do anything that would prevent people from having the opportunity to change. We have to be the better side.

Pray as though it all depends on God.

Work as though it all depends on you.

You can be a steadfast member of your community, be helpful to others, and be ready in case things go south. All these can be done without going to Portland and giving the Enemy video footage of "violent Trump supporters".

Win the war. The time for fighting will come, and unfortunately there's no going back. Don't be too eager for it to start.

There are still plenty of Anti-Theists who will downvote anything about Prayer, God, or Christianity or just cultural Christians who want action and not prayer.

The post is definitely a reminder for me to pray, and I do pray often about what's happening.

Raised Catholic but I'm not exactly religious now - but I hear your message and I'm on your side. There are some evil forces out there.

43
NoTimeToBleed 43 points ago +45 / -2

There is without a doubt a spiritual component to this battle. You are welcome at your local non-cucked Catholic parish. Look for one with a Latin mass.

22
anon1011101 22 points ago +23 / -1

Raised and confirmed Catholic myself, not devout but I can tell there is an obvious battle with the forces of Satan occurring right before our very eyes

7
Tom_Brett 7 points ago +9 / -2

How can you not be devout in anything when you see evil before your eyes. Many pray to God for help when they see Satan.

Be devout. Try again. Iโ€™m a hypocrite as well

5
anon1011101 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well I'm a devout conservative American and I know right from wrong. Just fell away from the Church especially in light of its many sex scandals and current heretic Pope

2
Heliogabal 2 points ago +2 / -0

Understandable, it's all ugly business. If you're interested in dipping a toe back into the spiritual side of the faith consider a Marian devotion like the Rosary. Even a decade a day can make all the difference.

The trad scene is also a lot more online these days than it used to be; I'd recommend Sensus Fidelium if that's the sort of thing you're interested in checking out.

For real, though, I'd second this. It's a night and day difference between parishes that have a Latin Mass and those that don't.

28
Er_hast_mich 28 points ago +31 / -3

Now is a perfect time to rekindle that fire. Talk to God; you didn't forget how. And if you don't know what to say, start up a rosary.

We fall away for any number of reasons, but God always has a way back. I'll be praying for you.

My pastor called on his congregation to fast and pray this week, citing real examples of how powerful it can be when many people do it for the same thing. It can be just one meal, or every day.

I've never fasted before, but I've never lived during a civil war before either.

You can start daily fasting simply by skipping breakfast. If you have time, get up, have a glass of water, spend some time in prayer, and wait til lunch to eat. Itโ€™s a nice way to ease into fasting. ๐Ÿ™‚

It doesn't have to be food to qualify as a fast, either. You can fast your time. Take an hour that you would have been on the internet and pray instead. Any sacrifice made with a pure heart is holy.

Tried searching for a good church for 20 years, found one that preached the Gospel and fed hungry people. City shut it down, community did nothing.

Another church - Austin Stone are literally ran by woke liberals and Satanists.

The Lord said there will be much fragmentation sadness pain and grief in the end times. Looking at people saying be optimistic makes me question their beliefs. You're not supposed to be happy or content in this life, quite the opposite.

All right there in the Bible.

Bubbahax 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sorry, but not true at all.

John 10:10 I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The first man that God made a covenant with after the fall of Adam was Abraham. Abraham became the richest man in the world.

Galatians 3:29 And if ye are Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise

We are absolutely going to have persecutions and tribulations, but we are expected to overcome, not to live defeated and down.

These are the real Sunday posts we want.

Not knockin' Sunday Gun Day, but let's get our priorities straight!

5
WhosYourDaddy 5 points ago +6 / -1

Gun owner here, but whenever I see Sundays on TD all about guns, I feel disgusted. Like these weapons are surrogate idols, unironically paraded around on Sundays.

Pick a different day.

3
FearDaNazgulz [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Pretty sure they chose Sunday as gun day because it rhymed lol

1
WhosYourDaddy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, I guess... but still, many on the right hold true to their Christian values, and so does Trump. I just find the idea distasteful and classless.

Look I love the idea of folks showing off their guns but, I hate that it was a thoughtless choice to pick Sunday.

Same. I've always supported the 2A, but never felt the need to own a gun. A few months ago I felt like I was being led to arm myself. I did some research and decided I wanted an M17. You can't find an M17 anywhere these days. I prayed about it and an M17 showed up at my local Academy Sports a few days later.

Agnostic here. Not a churchgoer, but I'm not going to downplay how effective prayer can be when things are looking pretty crazy. It also might be cool to practice a new skill or hobby while we wait for further developments. I got into photography recently when my state went headfirst into the lockdown craze.

When this shutdown started, we were lost a little because we're both newly retired now and didn't realize how hooked we were on the TV. Since then, we cut off cable, talk to each other, got involved with other projects and started praying together. We don't miss the TV at all and other than maybe a few evenings a week, we put in a good wholesome move but mainly, we're too tired from working around the house, visiting with the grandkids and learning new things, that we go to bed actually tired and not just bored. We'll never go back to the way things were, by choice, as we actually have a much more fulfilled life than we ever had. And we've taught our grown children to do the same. We now brag to each other about what the other ones have taken up, or learned new, that we probably never would have learned before. It's made us closer. You can be a victim or a victor, but you can't be both and we consider ourselves to be victorious

5
HidinginNY 5 points ago +5 / -0

That's pretty cool. I'll have to step up my game now. Probably work on getting my driver's licence when I get the chance after work so I can really go out, get more interesting pictures and do some stuff.

3
Bidensdementia 3 points ago +3 / -0

You can do it! I've always had a garden so this year I started taking pictures of my flowers. I wanted the things that were beautiful in my life instead of the constant ugly that we see in the world.

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is an awesome story! I cut out the TV over a decade ago.

Sometimes in my life you pray and get the opposite and are meant to be pummeled and demoralized as part of God's plan for you. This makes you stronger - God is a tough Father and is teaching this country a lesson.

I've learned that praying for specifics in my life has been dangerous, because He will punish you for going outside of His plan - or even considering it.

My father told me "want to make God laugh, tell him yoir plans".

How about we pray for Churches to be open and Christian's not be so cucked to fear in the china flu?

These are the end times - we will loose many battles and possibly ourselves. Read Revelations and Isaiah.

Prayed for what books to read and the Lord said Isaiah, completely saddened and demoralized me. But the Lord does this.

Optimism is dangerous to a believer.

Man I used to think I was an atheist. Same with my father...but recently with everything going on we both obviously agree that we have unalienable GOD GIVEN rights and if you take God out of the equation then government and unknown men decide our rights.

The Democrats are so sick and evil, it really is a battle of Dark vs Light. The "power of the Light" is rarely expressed as yugely as it is now, though, in my opinion. The evil always seemed to have expressed their power more openly in the past, although deceitfully. The tide has already turned but their sheep have been disillusioned and fooled into associating wealth, power and accomplishment with evil. It's almost like we're seeing the exorcism of our society, "demonic" tempered imps wreaking havoc in the streets.

I pray for others and I pray for our country because I think it makes a difference to think positively and to remind ourselves of the truths we seek. I've also heard about others praying for me during hard times and it's made me feel so loved. Let's do it for each other!

5
TREECE 5 points ago +5 / -0

3
Bubbahax 3 points ago +3 / -0

The pilgrims made a covenant with God in 1620 when they landed at Plymouth Rock. Almost exactly 400 years ago. God is still abiding by that pact. America is the only country in the history of the world that was founded by people that wanted to be free to worship God. When we turn to him, he will honor that. 2 Chronicles: if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land

7
Forgototherpassword 7 points ago +7 / -0

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is Godโ€™s will for you in Christ Jesus. -1 Thesselonians 5:12-18

For all those pedes looking for a church and not finding one:

Yes, the institutional churches are mostly either dead and crumbling or overrun by commies.

It doesn't matter; in fact, this is the greatest opportunity we've ever seen.

Be the light yourself. Step up. Start a church in your house, in your local coffee shop, in your local bar. Wherever there are people who need God, that's where you can start. Don't sell yourself short, you were born for this.

If you need some pointers to get started, PM me.

Mayhem 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is my biggest issue, I firmly believe a return to following the core Christian values that formed this country would allow it to be saved once again. However I can't abide by listening to limp wristed pacifist pastors spout off about turning the other cheek and praying for it all to get better. Those types of tenants may have been applicable many many years ago while our country was a majority homogenous and Christian. I'm not advocating for violence, but when your religion and people have been effectively under attack for decades, a reformation of sorts may be needed.

2
boombaby 2 points ago +2 / -0

Check out John MacArthur's podcast, Grace To You. He's not fire and brimstone, but he's also not all puppies and roses. He's one of the old-time giants of the Word.

2
FearDaNazgulz [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is a stark difference between pacifism and turning the other cheek. Jesus shows us something like this in the gospels when he flips the tables at the temple and drives them out with a whip. I am not pacifist nor could I ever be one..doesnt seem right. But there is also a difference between justice and vengeance

1
Stoic96 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm a vet, and I completely agree. Here's the thing, though: the reformation is already underway. You won't see it in most churches with buildings, but believe me, the real church of Christ--which doesn't need stupid artificial structures like denominations, hierarchies, or buildings--is alive, well, and growing stronger by the day.

1
Mayhem 1 point ago +1 / -0

I sure hope so. I've never been a very religious man my entire life, but seeing everything that's happened in the past few years and learning about truly despicable things that have been occurring outside of the public eye, it's become abundantly clear our society as we know it will be dead and gone in very short order if something is not done about it. I'm not advocating becoming a full blown Bible thumper, but it would definitely behoove those such as myself to read up on the Bible a bit and adopt some of the important values espoused within. They are what guided and allowed the great men who formed this country to do so, and we should be looking to hearken back to those times as opposed to wallowing about in the muck of whatever society has become currently.

2
totheendoftheline 2 points ago +2 / -0

Jumping off from this, would any fellow .winners be interested in starting a Bible study or prayer group via discord or something? I'd love for us to connect and support each other!

CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

We can do it right here. We might get a separate win, but this site has always had spontaneous breaks into prayer, Scripture, etc. Out of respect we could keep it to one thread.

One of the things I love about this place is our atheists. They're not filled with vitriol from IhateGod.com, trying to be combative. Some merely tolerate us, some may look on in amusement, but many have the genuine respect that our Faith is at least central to what formed this Nation to begin with.

Iโ€™ve been saying for months now...now is the time to choose sides. Good or evil. I know not everyone here is born again, but OP is right. Evil is growing, and we must be bold and brave and persevere with prayer for our country, our leaders, and our patriots on the front lines in these Dem led cities. I firmly believe that Godโ€™s plan for Christโ€™s return is set into motion. It may get a lot worse. But if believers pray steadfastly, and continue to lead others to Christโ€™s grace and redemption, we will prevail.

CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Depending on how solid you are in the Faith, one good technique is to call ahead and ask to speak with the Pastor. Meet at a time when no services are happening. You can get tremendous insight into what they're all about, and be sure to bring your questions!

If you're not solid in what Christianity is supposed to look like, this technique will not work. But you can read the Bible and find out! I always recommend to start in the Gospel of John and read to the end of the New Testament from there, straight through. Before you get that far, you'll be ready.

I bet you can find a good one, if you seek ;)

This is actually Scriptural. It's an obscure passage, but:

Isaiah 52.12: For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.

and again in 58:8: Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

That second one is really worth reading the whole section (several chapters before) to get the context. At least the whole chapter

But yes, He has our 6!

4
ChicagoforTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

My church is hosting a prayer meeting every night in September as well as encouraging people to fast as well. We must remember that our fight is not against flesh and blood but against spirits and principalities. The exposure of satanic pedo rings is evidence of this fact. Of course we need to vote and declare the truth when confronted with lies, but that is all downstream from the spiritual battle raging in the heaven realm right now.

1
Bubbahax 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

If you read that scripture again, you can see how the Lord framed the description. He laid out four levels of demonic organization. Like ranks in the military. Principalities, powers, rulers, and wickedness in high places. Grunts, sergeants, generals, commander in chief. Sometimes it seems like evil people are in a conspiracy together because they act in concert. But most are unknowingly egged on by demonic forces that are absolutely acting in concert.

I live in California- the belly of the beast- but I am still able to attend a defiant church which I am thankful for. I am not the most on fire in religion guy there is but I believe God is real and these last 4 months have made the spiritual battle for me clearer than ever. I have always attended church to give thanks to God and acknowledge something much greater than myself. As Gavin McGinnis said once on Joe Rogan going to church for him is an act of humility and showing appreciation. Today's message was about the night Jesus was arrested and later crucified. I imagine the pharisees to be like today's modern Democrat politician with a hypocritical view of the law and an extreme hate for a guy that challenged their swamp of the day. I came to the realization that they had antifa back then too. Antifa of Pharisees and Roman's who acted as the enforcers of their persecution. But in the end the light always shines.. Good wins over evil. Someone posted a thread about a street preacher in shithole Portland being pelted with eggs and covered in silly string and i had a thought that he planted a seed in one of those twisted antifa heads and someday someone may (former commie leftist) lead a great awakening because of that brave guys efforts. I dusted off my Bible and started reading the book of Isaiah. I think it is more important than ever to ask for God's favor and protection for your loved ones, fellow pedes and the nation as a whole. I also pray that hearts and minds will be open. As I type this out this post is sort of a public prayer.. thanks to all that took the time to read it.

I'm a man of action by temperament -- but this time, "action" has a different meaning.

Action doesn't mean violence. Action means opening your arms to every disenchanted Dem that has finally realised we're not the enemy. It means getting to the polls and voting like your lives depend on it.

Action means never wavering in your faith, or allowing your enemy to make you something you're not.

They are in a panic. That's why they're burning cities. They have nowhere left to go, but try to win through fear.

Let them burn in the fire they created.

ArkansasMaven 4 points ago +4 / -0

Part of the problem in finding a church these days is people don't research it. Listen to their worship online. Many are streaming on Facebook. If they espouse something other than what is written in God's word, run. I am a member of the church of Christ. We don't entertain people with ribbon dancers, mimes or Beyonce the heretic. We sing a capella, take communion every Sunday and believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, which we emulate through baptism. Stick with the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.
