If you’re going to help some body you don’t yell out “Hey everybody! Watch me help this guy!” Nah you just help the fucking man And if 1 person or 100 see you do it then whatever.

I was raised entirely outside any organized religion, many generations not even fronting in my family by the time I was born, and the deep values of beong a good person are remarkably similar.
I was quite startled as an adult to realize key tenent we were raised on were the foundational personal values lauded in the Bible tbh, that's how little exposure I had to one.
The truth is that the most sustaining societal and familial systems of behavior and values are timeless.
Religious texts and folk sayings and well-known allegories are simply tools used to reinforce said framework over time and place.
