Fuck off Texas. My ancestors settled this state. I have hope this state is going to Trump. Portland is a concentration of every edgy liberal from around the US and not representative of the state. We have a real chance here. I’m in a very blue valley city and signed the recall petition for our dumbass governor and the petition line was angry and fired up. Don’t count us out and don’t tell us how to protect our own state

Well said. Even deep in the belly of the beast.... a good 40-45% of the city or more are reasonable people who don't support this shit at all.

Philadelphia pede right here with you. My city has gone so liberal that we burned our own city to the ground and blamed it on Trump. There is zero chance Philadelphia is going to Trump, but I’m standing my ground. I grew up here and no commie dirt bag is going to make me move

I'd vote for their own state, that way we get 2 more Senators.

Let Eastern Washington, Eastern and Southern Oregon become a state. Then let Northern California be a separate state. That makes 4 more Republican Senators.

Oregon hasn't had an honest vote count yet this century. It makes no difference if Trump is going to get awarded the clean sweep he deserves anyway, 271 earns the same reward as 538 does. 300 is a nice buffer so that electors can't be strategically arkanscided between the general election and the electoral college meeting. If Trump is going to win Oregon it'll be getting him electoral votes he doesn't need.

Oregon's has a Democrat senator up for reelection as well as Democrat house members, eliminating those would be a much greater coup than getting a few extra electoral votes. The woman running as the GOP challenger against Merkley in the Senate is plenty redpilled too, she eliminated some real RINOs in the primaries.

I'd be surprised if seats flip red in Oregon without Oregon also voting for Trump.

Trump got 742,506 votes, Romney got 733,743 votes, while Hillary got 934,631 votes while Obama had 937,321.

So really Trump not only gained votes, but his principle opponent lost votes. The percentage was technically 1% point less than Romney, but that stat isn’t particularly relevant in this situation because Hillary also lost 3%. 3rd Parties largely caused the percentage declines, but neither had a real opportunity to win.

Gary roughly quadrupled his votes in 2016 over 2012 and Jill tripled hers. But it wasnt because Gary was a perfect libertarian candidate and inspired everyone, it was Gary was the closest to conservatives so he got the conservative protest vote, and Jill was the liberal protest vote. And those protest votes were from people who KNEW they were sick of the Obama administration, but not quite sure Trump was the answer. Those people now have 4 years of seeing Trump policy in action and I wager all the gains Gary had will flip to Trump, which is about 60K+ votes. Jill Stein voters however probably wont flip Trump, at least not a significant amount.

But even with those gains for trump, and if the other trend continues, were still looking at about 100k gap.

Where are you getting your stats? I just looked them up to reply and Trump was 41.1%

But yeah i agree closing the gap is gonna be difficult, and thats assuming no election fraud, which lets be real, aint happening. Oregon already registers illegal aliens when they get a license, thats 4 more years of illegal aliens able to vote...
