First of all, I don’t believe a President should say anything about anybody that dies at the hands of the police or while in police custody until the investigation is concluded. The power of the office of the presidency is far too great to be allowed to potentially influence a case in the courts or in the public.
Secondly, I recall Trump immediately sending federal investigators to see if there were any civil rights violated.
