I think this is why the working class is more supportive of Trump than walled off up-and-coming-millennial-professionals who never have to set foot near the consequences of trade deals, illegal immigration, low wage growth, etc. When you see the actual consequences of these policies in your everyday life, it's a lot more dire to vote Trump in. When you can vastly ignore them or they don't affect your life at all, then it's easy to pretend the left's hollow ideology is sacred.
